In less than 12 hours I'll be 32,000 feet in the air, sitting next to a stranger who I'll pray is not a shower curtain ring salesman or a sleep talker. Actually I would be OK if he/she is a sleep talker...I can have a bit of fun with that. A 3.5 hour flight to Dallas then another 3.5 hour flight to San Jose, Costa Rica! No checked bag so no waiting for the baggage conveyor belt to poop out my bag that would be 6 lbs. lighter due to the bag handlers rummaging through it and grabbing what they like. Just me and my backpack cruising through the airport at semi-warp speed. (semi because I'm fat).
I'll be lonely without the wife so I'll have to do my best to keep myself busy. Excited to reach the end of this journey.
